1. Set a Clear Goal for Your Mission
Hua Lam Thanh is an LFA graduate from Project Management, Presentation Skills, and Leadership trainings at Bayer last month. He is inspired from my teaching and wrote a heart-felt email illustrating his passion, "I'd participate in your charity program to make a difference in the life of others." Together we set a clear goal for Thanh:
To raise $30T VND for a small school in thôn Ngòi Bang, huyện Yên Bình, tỉnh Yên Bái
2. Develop Your Team and Supporters, Then Lead by Example
He recruited two more LFA graduates Pham Huu Loc and Lam Ngoc Thuy to lead other Departments within the organization. Importantly, another compassionate LFA graduate Pham Quynh Lan, who has an excellent marketing and communication skills, got involved with the goal. Quickly, they made contacts with friends, colleagues, and raised $8.1T VND. Beside the countless hours they emailed, talked, networked... they led by example and donated themselves! Leaders must "walk the walk and talk the talk!"

3. Believe in Your Purpose, Passion, and Compassion
While it's easy to get excited at the beginning with a vision, a mission , a dream; it takes a lot of courage and determination to keep it going every day. Each conversation can lead to a supporter. Every opportunity to meet a new group can lead to a donation. If your passion is to teach, then teach an extra class to raise money! If you love to draw, then paint another picture to raise money! If you are great with selling, then sell one more item to raise money! Take whatever you love to do (your passion) then add whatever you're meant to do for the less fortunate (your compassion).
